Is there an expert out there who can tell me, or all of us, what internals are interchangeable from the Buick 215, Rover 3500 etc to fit the Leyland 4400?
Main interest is in cam, lifters, distributor, gasket sets or whatever is useable.
Anyone know? |

Supposed to be a extra head bolt per cylinder on the B.O.P. 215 .
Traco race tuned them in the U.S.
Max Irwin ran a Buick /Rover /Leyland hybrid in N.Z.,
Fitted to a Mk 1 Escort in the International Rallys ,and
the Ashley Forest Hillclimb / sprint , 1975 -1985 odd.
He was based in Pukekohe , a farmer .
Quote " 6,000 with the Leyland , 7,000 with the Rover .
Which is about 120 or 140 m.p.h. " on a welded 3.54
wolsley 6110 diff , (GoodYear ultragrip 225 tyres ? )
The repco - Brabam is closely related. A Rover P-6
was raced in Aus with a 4.4 ohc hybrid Repco engine.
Mr Smith . i think the car still exists ,a group Cish thing. |
